Summary

Tippo collects limited personal information necessary to operate the platform.

We do not sell personal data.

Restaurant employers control most employee data uploaded to Tippo.

2. Information We Collect

Tippo may collect:

Account information:

• name • email address • phone number • profile photo • job title

Operational data:

• shift records • hours worked • tip allocations • audit logs • dispute messages

Technical data:

• usage analytics • crash logs • device identifiers • IP addresses

Restaurant data:

• restaurant name • location • staff lists


3. Information Provided by Restaurants

Restaurants may upload employee data including:

• names • emails • job titles • shift information

Restaurants are responsible for ensuring they have the legal authority to provide this data.

Tippo processes this data on behalf of the restaurant.


4. Purpose of Data Use

Tippo uses data to:

• operate the platform • calculate tip allocations • generate reports • maintain system security • improve product performance


5. Analytics and Tracking

Tippo uses analytics tools including:

• Google Analytics • PostHog • Meta Pixel • LinkedIn Insight Tag

These tools help us understand product usage.


6. Cookies

Tippo uses cookies for:

• authentication • analytics • marketing • fraud prevention

7. Payment Processing

Subscriptions are processed through Stripe.

Tippo does not store credit card information.

Stripe processes payment data according to its own privacy policy.

Data may be stored in Canada and the United States.

We use cloud infrastructure including:

• Supabase • Stripe • Resend


9. Security

Tippo uses security safeguards including:

• encryption • multi-factor authentication • role-based access control • monitoring and audit logs


10. Data Retention

Tippo retains data as long as necessary to operate the service.

Historical records may be retained for a minimum of two years.

Deleted records may remain in backups for security purposes.


11. Privacy Rights

Individuals may request:

• access to personal information • corrections to inaccurate data • deletion of account data where legally permitted
